Happy New Year!
2017 was a little rocky for me from beginning to the end. I have such high hopes for 2018 because it’s already starting better than last year. I usually do resolutions on my birthday, but I woke up, got on social media and was inspired by everyone’s goals and wishes for the new year that I decided to jump in too.
Due to some health issues, I had to have blood work done at the end of 2017 and what do you know!? Almost everything is out of whack. Luckily, most of it can be solved by losing weight which I have struggled with over the last couple of years. I have a new FitBit and gym membership. Time to get to work! I plan on being active by going to the gym, taking my dog on walks and not just letting her out, and roller skating! It has been far too long since I’ve laced up my skates.
Since 2011, I’ve always participated in the Goodreads reading challenge. It’s a great way for me to keep myself accountable and get suggestions on books. I didn’t meet my goal of 50 last year so I’m lowering the goal to 20 books for 2018. Much more attainable. I’m also going to carve out a little time each day to read. The first book on the list is a book I technically started in 2017, The Changeling.
Grow My Business
In 2017, Hearts and Hearts
did more than double the sales it did in 2016. I’m so proud of my little business and I want to grow even more! I learned a lot about what sells and what doesn’t, when to list and how to drive traffic to my site through social media. In 2018 I want to double my sales from 2017! With the knowledge I have from the previous year, I’m pretty positive I can do it!
2017 was not a year of travelling for me. I intend to change that this year. I want to go back to Europe and meet up with a couple of friends, travel to new cities stateside and I want to do something I’ve never done-go on a cruise! My travelling always consists of exploring and museums -which I love! But I want to just go chill and lay out by the pool or a beach for a week. Drink some frou frou drinks and enjoy the sun, ya know?!
I’ve blogged for over 15 years in some shape or form. Over the last 4 years it’s been less and less consistent. This year I want to put more time and effort into it. I want to share tips and advice for selling vintage, buying vintage. I want to share my travel adventures, my outfits, my struggles, my wins–EVERYTHING!
Happy 2018 y’all! Did you make any resolutions? What are your hopes for the new year? Any tips for me to stay consistent blogging? Have a book recommendation? Let me know in the comments!
